No jargon. No fine print. Just straight answers.
Do I still have "real" health coverage?
Yes. PrimeCare is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership — it's a real, comprehensive benefit, not a discount card. It covers primary care, telemedicine, chronic conditions, labs, and wellness. For major medical events, GHS adds the right supplemental layer so you're fully covered.
What's "Section 125" and why does it matter?
Section 125 means your premiums are taken out before your paycheck is taxed. Think of it like this: instead of earning $2,500 and paying tax on all of it, you earn $2,500, deduct the premium first, then get taxed on the smaller number. Less tax = more take-home pay.
Can I use it if I already have a condition?
For most chronic conditions — yes. PrimeCare accepts pre-existing conditions that are manageable (meaning you're not in an acute crisis). The 13 conditions listed in the plan are all covered at $0 from day one of enrollment.
What if I need to see a specialist?
Your PrimeCare advocacy team helps coordinate specialist referrals and can help negotiate costs. Specialists outside the DPC network are handled through your supplemental plan — GHS makes sure there's no gap in coverage when you need it most.
Is my employer saving money too?
Yes — significantly. Because PrimeCare keeps routine care out of the expensive insurance system, employers pay less in claims and premiums. First-year savings of 12–18% are typical. Those savings can be shared with employees or reinvested in the business.
How is this different from a regular insurance card?
Traditional insurance: you pay a premium, then still pay co-pays and deductibles when you use it. PrimeCare: you pay a flat monthly membership, then visits cost $0. No claims, no deductibles, no surprise bills for covered services — it works more like a gym membership than an insurance policy.
